Assignment 7: Children's Storybook

Our last and final assignment: a children's storybook.

I would say this is by far the most challenging and demanding assignment we have till date.

My team and i decided to narrow down our objectives for our storybook to children aged 6 to 7, which is the age where most kids transit from kindergarten to mainstream primary school.

By having a clearer objective and target audience in mind, every member in the team will share a common frequency when we are brainstorming for our storyline and character-forming.

it will also give us a bigger picture of what kind of finishing we want our storybook to have.

we decided to come up with a book that helps to teach children aged 6-7 some basic manners and inculcate some values like fillial piety and honesty.

this is important as these kids are embarking into a new journey of their lives as primary school children and most of them are very impressionable at this age.

here are some sketches:

it has since been scanned and coloured, paginated and sent for printing.

will be collecting the final product today!
